Peek Mag: Love in the 21st Century

Peek Mag is a modern periodical exploring love, sex, and relationships. It came to us already beautifully branded and curated, we were brought on to bring it online for the first time. I led a small, nimble team through the entire process: designing the site, managing development, and hitting key project milestones. From the start, my focus was on shaping thoughtful user journeys and building a sitemap that honored the magazine’s editorial feel. The vision was clear: a digital experience that felt like a modern newspaper with a strong, feminine sensibility. That idea guided everything—from layout to subtle but crucial design details. Accessibility presented an early design challenge. The existing color palette had contrast limitations, so we introduced a theme toggle with intuitive iconography to offer readers a more inclusive viewing option. We also went through several rounds of typography refinement to ensure article pages felt comfortable to read, quiet enough to let the content lead.
